What a surprising year it’s been! We could not have expected how much interest there would be in staying here over the summer. It really was a wonderful surprise after the quiet period during the start of the pandemic. We are grateful to be vaccinated and glad for guests who showed our family care and consideration as they stayed here. With small children who are not yet able to be vaccinated, we have been playing it pretty safe and limiting our exposure. We know it’s been a difficult period for so many, and we hope that you are well and staying healthy!

We are also excited to share that there are a few changes afoot! We are expecting baby McCarthy III to join us in a few weeks, and so we are taking a pause on reservations this season. The fall foliage season is always a busy time, and we wish we could host you but we are savoring family time as we prepare our older kiddos for the adjustment of new baby in the house. As you can imagine, the kids are so excited - and so are we!
Speaking of the house, we are utilizing this time to take on a large renovation of our home, to adapt the space to better fit our growing family. We expect the renovations to be complete mid-summer 2022, and we’ll be moving into the Guest House for the interim. We are grateful to have a soft landing place for our family while we undergo construction.
